The Garden at Buckingham Palace is open from 9th July - 19th September

If you're a ticket holder, please read the following guidelines before you visit.

When you arrive, you’ll need to scan the NHS QR code using your NHS COVID-19 app or provide your name and contact details at the tills.

These details will be kept securely for 21 days and will be provided to the NHS if requested. In order to make the most of your time in the gardens, we recommend you download the NHS COVID-19 app prior to your visit.

During your visit, you'll be free to wander around the gardens taking in views of Buckingham Palace. If you plan to picnic on the grounds, please take note of a few DOs and DON’Ts...

You are welcome to bring:

  • Food and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Plastic glasses and paper cups
  • Tableware and cutlery
  • Small picnic baskets and cool bags
  • Blankets and small foldable chairs
  • Personal and golfing-sized umbrellas

All items must be no larger than 55 x 35cm in order to pass through airport-style security scanners.

The following items are not permitted:

  • Alcohol
  • Glassware
  • Sharp-bladed knives
  • Radio/speaker
  • Barbecues
  • Parasols, windbreakers, and gazebos
  • Ball games or similar

Directions to The Garden at Buckingham Palace

Entrance is through the Royal Mews on Buckingham Palace Road. Please arrive at the time stated on your ticket.

By underground

Victoria, Green Park, St. James's Park and Hyde Park Corner. For further information visit the Transport for London website.

By coach / bus

Bus numbers 11, 211, C1 and C10 stop on Buckingham Palace Road. Victoria Coach Station is a 10-minute walk from the Palace.
