With former cells acting as galleries and exhibits displaying information about infamous police run-ins and cases, Bow Street Police Museum brings to life this truly fascinating part of London's history.

The museum is located in the building where the city's first Magistrates Court was established in the 18th century. Through its exhibitions and collection, you'll gain an understanding of the history and development of policing and the administration of criminal justice in London. 

Starting with the inception of the Bow Street Runners, London's first official law enforcement service, you'll journey through the history of the force.
