What you'll do
Commissioned by Edward III around 1365, Jewel Tower was originally built to house the King’s personal treasures and had a moat dug around it for extra protection.
Visit the Jewel Tower with The London Pass®
- Pay nothing at the gate - simply show your pass
- Explore the three-floor exhibition space, once a treasure trove of royal riches.
- There are dozens more great attractions included with your pass so be sure to check them out!
Dubbed 'The king's privy wardrobe', the Jewel Tower remains virtually unaltered today and is one of the only two complete buildings remaining from the medieval Palace of Westminster, the other being Westminster Hall. Located right across the road from the Houses of Parliament, the Jewel Tower is right in the middle of one of the city's key tourist locations, with Westminster Abbey and Big Ben both only minutes away by foot. Marvel at the ornately carved 14th-century ceiling and learn all about the riches and whims of monarchs past.
"Excellent - couldn't have been better. It made for a most enjoyable visit. I would recommend it to anyone, especially first-time visitors."
