With ancient Indian art and traditions housed in this place of worship, as well as deities and motifs representing the sacred faith and beliefs of a people dating back over 8,500 years, this London attraction is possibly the most important Indian museum in London.
The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Museum includes the “Understanding Hinduism” exhibition - a permanent feature spread over 3000 sq ft on the ground floor and covering the origin and beliefs of Hinduism through visual effects, paintings, tableaux and traditional craftwork.
The largest Hindu temple outside India, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir features huge dioramas and panels leading you through a journey of discovery like no other.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is located in Neasden, North London close to Neasden or Dollis Hill Underground stations (both on the Jubilee Line) - remember you can buy a London Pass with Oyster travelcard, which covers all rail, bus and London Underground transport.
